Wiz-Team’s contribution to ANOC World Beach Games and General Assembly
In October 2019, Event Works (EW) served as the single-system solution behind ANOCs Inaugural World Beach Games and General Assembly; supporting the planning, operations, and delivery of two events by two different teams, AT THE SAME TIME.
Unforeseen logistical challenges (including a host-site move less then 6-months ahead of the Games) put this project on a warp-speed timeline. In just three weeks, Wiz-Team, in partnership with a handful of industry experts, delivered a full application set-up to support both an international multi-sport event and a high-level global conference.
Our team provided ANOC and their LOC a custom EW solution complete with ten fully-integrated application modules, fit to welcome and coordinate the accommodations, meals, air travel, accreditation, and entries of over 1,200 athletes from 97 nations; in addition to the registration, accreditation, and outfitting of over 4,000 workforce, volunteers, and officials.
As competition kicked-off and medals were awarded, the Annual ANOC General Assembly began welcoming their dignitaries and guests from 204 nations, the IOC, International Federations, Organizing Committees and other key stakeholders. In addition to event registration, accommodations, and transportation scheduling, the EW solution also provided General Assembly organizers with EW modules designed to manage session registrations, attendee agendas, and seating plans (EW SitPlan App).
