Wiz-Team evolves leadership structure alongside company growth
Wiz-Team has announced key role changes in its leadership team, aimed at strengthening operations and supporting the company’s continued expansion. The new structure will take effect on 1 April.
Catherine Chapman appointed Chief Operating Officer
As part of the changes, Catherine Chapman has been promoted from Director of Project Management Office (PMO) to Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her new role, she will oversee all operational functions across the company, including Customer Support, Account Services & Operations, and Project Management.
Commenting on her new position, Catherine Chapman said: “I have been part of the Wiz-Team journey now for over three years and I feel privileged to be able to take this next step to support the team as it grows and matures. We have amazing people and I’m really looking forward to working with them to drive real value for our customers, old and new!”
Tim Goethals takes on revenue leadership role
Chapman succeeds Tim Goethals, who transitions into the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this new position, he will lead Wiz-Team’s revenue strategy and work closely with the company’s newly established Global Sales team to drive growth.
“I’m really excited about my new responsibilities, focusing on our revenue and growth strategy to further build a sustainable future for Wiz-Team”, said Tim Goethals. “We have a strong foundation in place, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to accelerate our growth and take the company to the next level.”
New CTO role created to support rapid growth
In order to ensure consistency in its product development, Wiz-Team has also created a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) position to support the company’s rapid development. Stefano Rigat, previously Director of Wiz-Team Italia, will step into this role.
He shared: “Thrilled to take on the opportunity to scale what already makes Wiz-Team unique: delivering under pressure while staying product-focused. My priority is building a platform that grows with our clients – from smaller events to the world’s largest – while empowering our teams to move faster, take ownership, and innovate.”
Long-standing team member transitions to advisory role
Meanwhile, after nearly 13 years with the company, Maksim Shishov – Director of Wiz-Team Ukraine and a key figure in the development of the company’s all-in-one event management platform ‘Event-Works’ – will gradually step down from his position. He will continue to contribute to Wiz-Team’s product development as an external consultant.
CEO pays tribute and looks ahead
Johann Woringer, founder and CEO of Wiz-Team, said on this occasion: “I would first like to recognize and thank Max from the bottom of my heart for his dedication, contribution and energy during all these years. What a journey! It started way before I founded Wiz-Team and finished with an Olympics! We all realize we wouldn’t be where we are now without him. This is not the end of story, Max will always be part of Wiz-Team. Then and looking ahead, I am very excited about what lies ahead of us and what we will achieve with this new leadership team. Congratulations to everybody and let’s get things done!”
A structure designed for the future
The new leadership structure underscores Wiz-Team’s commitment to delivering exceptional value to partners and customers, while keeping innovation and usability at the core of its strategy.
