Wiz-Team seals three-year partnership with World Council of Churches

Bringing versatility, scalability, and consistency, Event-Works enhances delegate experiences across institutional events

Wiz-Team’s versatile event management platform Event-Works is a fit-for-purpose software product that leverages the power of configuration to deliver events of all shapes and sizes.  This is of particular interest to global institutions, NGOs, and non-profits who host and deliver tens or hundreds of events annually ranging in size anywhere from 60 to 6,000 individuals.

The scalability and versatility are exactly what makes Event-Works a valuable addition to an institution’s tech stack. Bringing with it a range of functionalities from event registration to guest accommodation, Wiz-Team’s event management system platform flexes up or down based on the needs of each individual event.  Whether it is a commission meeting with 60 delegates from one region or a five-day summit with 3,800 participants from around the world, Event-Works helps drive consistency in delegate experiences, and efficiency across event delivery teams.   

Versatility, scalability, and flexibility are some of the key attributes behind the recent three-year extension of Wiz-Team’s and the World Council of Churches’ (WCC) long-time partnership. 

The WCC’s Director of the office of the General Secretariat Doug Chial says: “We have had a long-standing partnership with Wiz-Team and we are eager to build upon the work we’ve done already with them over the next three years to support our annual event calendar.” 

Wiz-Team and the WCC have been working together for the past six years enhancing and elevating event management and delivery as part of the WCC’s digital transformation strategy. As with many institutions, the WCC supports small, medium, and large-scale events throughout the year.

This renewed collaboration will continue to feature Wiz-Team as the WCC’s official Event Management System provider bringing Wiz-Team’s internationally renowned event management platform Event-Works to WCC events through 2026. 

With a stacked event calendar – a common experience across Wiz-Team’s institutional clients who also include several EU institutions – the WCC’s use of the solution demands repeatability and consistency in end-user experiences. This, along with a large portion of event attendees carrying over from one event to another, highlights the importance of a tool that can not only be replicated easily but can support the attendance journey of one individual across many events.

As an Official Provider, Wiz-Team will support the WCC’s event operations team in managing guest registrations, accreditations, access control, accommodation, travel, guest communication, and itinerary management for its portfolio of annual events and meetings. Wiz-Team also provides the WCC custom event delegate mobile app which enables networking among the attendees. Via the App, delegates will have instant access to the event’s full programme as well as other useful information like local maps. In addition, they will be able use their personalised QR code to access the event venue in a secure way.
