Wiz-Team expands its Advisory Board

Last week, Wiz-Team’s Advisory Board came together for its first meeting of the year to appraise the company’s 2024 financial and operating performance, its ongoing business growth, projects and product developments. It was also an opportunity to implement changes to the Advisory Board’s composition, introducing new Members who will support Wiz-Team with its continued entrepreneurial growth as the leading supplier of integrated, configurable events management solutions for sports, entertainment, government, and other applications.
Welcoming a new Chair and new Members
Keith Carter – New Chairman
After four years at the helm of Wiz-Team’s Advisory Board, Ciaran Quinn – who boasts an impressive background in technology and digital media and provides counsel to emerging companies – is stepping down as Chair while remaining a member of the Board alongside Frank Eckhard and Anna Hellman. Replacing Ciaran as Chair, effective from 1 February 2025, is Keith Carter, ex-investment banker as well as founder and former CEO of Allergy Therepautics plc. All, except Anna who joined end 2022, have been members of the Advisory Board since its founding in 2018 and are early investors.
“It has been a pleasure to be involved with Wiz-Team as it has grown dramatically both financially and in maturity and it is an exciting moment to take my turn as Chairman, just as the business is poised for the next step-change – commercially, geographically and financially,” said Keith Carter.
The Advisory Board also welcomes three new Members, each bringing with them an impressive and diverse portfolio of expertise and success:
- Jérôme Jotterand, an attorney specialising in commercial and finance law, offering Wiz-Team invaluable counsel broadly and for all legal and corporate governance-related matters.
- Pascal Wattiaux, an IT consultant and executive with extensive sport event management experience with a technology focus in major sport events including Paris 2024 (as Associate Director of Games Delivery Technology).
- Alexis Gros-Piron, a global sports marketing and entertainment executive with high-level experience across major sports and cultural events, including collaborations with Wiz-Team’s strategic partner and investor On Location.
They are appointed for a two-year term, while Anna Hellman, Ciaran Quinn, Keith Carter and Eckhard Frank are renewed (also for a two-year term).
Wiz-Team CEO Johann Woringer said: “Firstly, I want to thank Ciaran for his hard work and commitment during his tenure and congratulate Keith for his new role as Chair of the Advisory Board.”
He added: “With the growth of Wiz-Team and to prepare for our future challenges and opportunities, we are excited to also welcome three new Members to our Team, bringing complementary experience and perspectives to support us with our continued expansions and innovation.”
A strategic advisor to Wiz-Team
The Advisory Board has seen the company through its seed investment round in 2022 and Series A investment in February 2024 with On Location (TKO, Endeavour Group). From 2018 to present, Wiz-Team has grown from fewer than 20 people to well over 100 and has signed important contracts to deliver Event Management Software for sporting federations and major events such as the Rugby World Cups and the Commonwealth Games as well as services for many top government organisations including the European Commission and European Parliament, and global entertainment events.
Promising developments and a positive outlook
The future promises more growth and innovation to meet ever-changing market needs and a busy calendar of more major sport and industry events. A recent strategic milestone for the company has included the expansion of Wiz-Team into the United States of America with the opening of a brand-new branch in Denver, Colorado. This expansion brings the company closer to some of its key clients as well as its partner On Location, with many new opportunities on the horizon in 2025 and beyond.
